In 1926, the Village of Eastwood officially became a part of the City of Syracuse, but to this day, keeps the “village” feel of days gone by.  The 12 block business district along James Street boasts diverse offerings — restaurants and cafes, bookstores, drugstores, banks, ice cream stands, boutiques, antique shops, specialty stores, hardware stores, insurance/legal firms, as well as all of the services that a community needs.

The neighborhood is complete with numerous churches, schools, parks, community center and historic movie theater.  And for the sports enthusiasts, Eastwood has sports for all seasons:  9-hole golf course, ski trails, skating rink.

Eastwood is a diverse neighborhood filled with active residents that enthusiastically keep the neighborhood vibrant — culturally, socially and economically — and work to maintain it as a desirable locale to work, live and play.
